Steel covers
We sell steel covers, with eleven standard sizes available in stock for every conveyor belt.
Covers can be easily removed and replaced at any location for inspecting the conveyor system.
We can also make any size cover with different inspection and maintenance openings or a quick-sliding hood (ASS-hood®, European patent).
Special covers, such as jumbo covers, segmental arch covers, segment covers, lower belt covers, and much more, are also available.
Plastic covers
Förderband Technik Kilian GmbH has been renowned for many years for metal conveyor belt covers. We have significantly expanded our product range with plastic hoods.
Different industrial sectors require alternatives to metal systems in order to comply with statutory requirements. In particular, the food, sugar, chemical, potash and salt industries require hoods made of Organit plastic. Corrosion resistant covers reliably protect conveyor belts, roller bearings and the material conveyed against the effects of weather. They can be easily removed and replaced at any location for inspecting the conveyor system.
Organit conveyor belt covers made of rigid PVC, clear and natural, in sheeting pile 70/18 have the following features:
- Barely flammable DIN standard 4102
- Impact resistant DIN standard 7748
- Chemically stable DIN standard 16929
